Alcohol inks are an alcohol-based, highly pigmented ink that can be diluted with isopropyl alcohol. This allows for the expansion of media over the page. It is similar to watercolors where colors are applied in layers over time by the artist using various techniques to create depth, composition, balance & interest. Debbie will show and guide you on the many techniques used in this medium. She has a ton of tips and tricks to share! Alcohol Ink Artwork is a skilled medium in which the artist has to trust their instinct as to when to guide the inks and when to let them flow as they will. There are times when a piece can take days to create due to the kinetic energy in the pigments until they settle and declare themselves home. Everything you need will be supplied.

There is something special about giving a person a card that you created yourself. Come join Debbie Johnson as she teaches you how to make alcohol ink cards. Alcohol ink is a medium that is similar to watercolor but more vibrant. You can paint or create abstract designs. These cards can be for any occasion. The class includes everything you need to make 3 cards.
